Teaming up with Lumos

Teaming up with Lumos

Slick Revolution have teamed up with Lumos after meeting up with them at The Cycle Show in Birmingham.

Lumos started with a pair of engineers asking themselves how they could improve their own cycling experience and safety on the road. They loved commuting to work by bike but all too often felt unsafe. They designed a helmet which not only made them more visible to other road users but helped make their intentions more visible. The team at Slick Revolution are of course keen to promote safe eboarding in the same way the Lumos team are for cyclists.

Wearing a helmet is the no.1 priority for when you step on to a high powered eboard so if that helmet can make you more visible then that can’t be a bad thing right? Currently Lumos specialise in cycling helmets but are considering moving to skate style helmets so we thought we would jump on board.

So how exactly are we teaming up?

Lumos have kindly sent us some helmets to test out. Of course they were initially designed for use on bikes and so the indicator function may be a little tricky but the accelerometer to turn on the brake light should work a treat on our eboards. We will have a short teaser trailer released soon and then the full video showing just what Lumos helmets are capable of and their functionality when riding an eboard.
